ABOUT OUR EXPERTS

Luke Rinaldi, Assistant Principal, Leading Learning, Wellbeing & Engagement

I am delighted to join the Nailsworth Primary School community this year as the new Assistant Principal for Leading Learning, Wellbeing, and Engagement. My role allows me to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment. I am committed to advocating for student mental health, encouraging open conversations, and providing guidance on wellbeing resources. My goal is to foster a culture of respect, resilience, and personal growth by empowering students to take initiative, supporting peer-led programs, and collaborating with staff. I am dedicated to ensuring every student feels valued, heard, and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

In this role, my focus areas include:

  • Respectful Relationships: Modelling inclusive behaviour, actively listening, and encouraging open discussions on empathy and kindness, alongside developing students' skills in conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Developing House Culture: This will be an exciting journey led by our House Captains and SRC Leaders throughout the year —watch this space!
  • Learner Agency: Providing students with opportunities to showcase their learning and drive purposeful initiatives that create positive change within our school community.
  • Developing Active Local Citizens: Through our school values of Growth, Community, and Kindness, students will explore ways to connect with the Prospect community, engaging in service projects, fostering inclusive relationships, and participating in local initiatives that promote meaningful change.

I am committed to empowering both teachers and students by recognising strengths, building confidence, and fostering resilience. I strive to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and excellence. I look forward to collaborating with our school community to enhance learning experiences and drive lasting success for our students.
